What's the difference between Chi flat Iron and a regular flat iron?

I had a chi iron 2 years ago. As everyone knows their quite expensive. So i bought a regular flat iron for 9.00. It doesn’t seem to leave by hair as healthy looking as the chi and or as straight. Is it just me or does the chi iron really beat all other flat irons?

The chi isa steaming straightener. The chi uses steam to heat it up, while the other cheap flat irons just use heat to burn your hair straight. The chi is nice, but the conair steaming flat iron is better than the chi. It too uses steam instead of heat, but it works a lot better.

it’s just the hype behind it.
yes, the quality is good,… far better than one for $9.
but the actual outcome is similar to any good, ceramic flat iron.
however their other hair products work quite a bit better than other brands.
    (in my experience)
    such as the silk infusion.
